Wow, she's an absolute beauty! Subtle and cool. 🍺

Thank You! My back story I told myself was to imagine a young soldier returned how from WWII, but only a little bit hotrodder but mainly a Surfer so he hops up his families Wagon a bit with period correct Flathead performance goodies and hits the surf. :)

I did put a San Diego decal prominently on the back window as sort of an easter egg, because we go to the Wave Crest Woody show every year down near San Diego.

Another awesome build Donald!  The rivets are a fantastic detail.  I use Top Studio nut/bolt heads a lot and lose several on every build, LOL.  Your lighting is also always soo cool!

Thank You! I use a lot of Top Studio rivets. I use 1.2mm type A for door & trunk locks, 0.9mm type C for interior door lock knobs, various sizes of hex rivets for bolts all over, etc. Some great stuff for detailing but hard to get locally, or even in the states.

Just looking at this makes me want to grab a board and hit the waves, despite the fact I have the surfing prowess of a house brick. Seriously though, I always look forward to seeing your builds on the forum and this one is superb. Top notch.👍🏻

Wavecrest is a fantastic show. If you've gone frequently, you probably saw my mom's '41 (it was metallic sky blue with all natural finished ash wood and a dark blue top), as well as my dad's '50 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon (deep candy green with ash and mahogany woodwork, it's a stunner and hard to miss). They were both very involved with the SoCal Woody Club. Back during the 2007 Wavecrest show, one of the club guys paid for me to go up in a biplane ride from Palomar airport to get some aerial shots. That was a blast.image.jpeg.4d534c01e2cfc979547612761fe60ec4.jpeg

Very Nice! I may very well be one of those dots down there. :D

First build I've seen of this, and you knocked it out of the park and on to the beach.

The real wood "sticks" are fantastic!

Where did the decals in the windows come from, I loved seeing those in car windows when I was a kid - usually on a family car trip.

Thank You! There is NO real wood on my 1941 Woody build, though I did use basswood to make the bed stakes on my 1950 Chevy 3100 build. All of the wood on this build is done using oil paints, including the surfboard. :)

About 1/2 of the decals are from the kit, the other half I made a sheet of decals from doing a search for vintage surfer decals.

What a beauty. I give it a ten, a hang ten. Very well done. Nice job on adding the "framing bolts" and luv the Greg Knoll stringer. Surfs up...gotta go!

Thank You! Tiny little rivets, but they do make quite a difference I think.

Super-realistic color scheme. Very nice work all around. Great job!

Thank You! the body color is one that was actually available from ford at the time. :)

This image was actually taken a few months back at the Santa Barbara Woody show we went to of a 1941 Woody that gave me the inspiration to paint it this color.
