Easy way to get Gas Ration points in WWII. It was now a Truck/Agricultural vehicle, thus qualifying for more gas. A few of the Big Classics from the 1930's survived the war, to be restored in the 1950, by using this strategy.

I have heard that a few guys had their Dusenbergs converted to stake bed trucks with the body shops saving the bodies for reconversion after the war!
