Rob Hall Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 The Cleveland suburb I lived in from '17-23 had a few of them, both unmarked detective cars and a couple w/ light bars and the dark gray on black markings. Replaced a few years ago w/ Explorers. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Hard to find a better cop car than a Crown Vic. 2

One of the stupidest things that Ford did was to dump the Panther platform. They should've invested in updates (you know, U.S. Gov't mandated rubbish, such a traction control) rather than foist Fœcal-Boost and wrong wheel drive bollocks-equipped cars and Explorers (the latter would be fine if they weren't slagged with that stupid Fœcal Boost V6) . But, I digress... 150,000 miles on my 2004 CVPI - 21,000 of which were put on by yours truly. Rock solid car ! 1
Motor City Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 My nephew had one of these Caprices. It had 365 net horsepower and was really quick off the line and strong through the gears. He sold it since he has a Corvette and recently bought a new car.
HomerS Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 There is an annual get together in Indianapolis in early September if you are a fan of the Holden's. As a former owner of a departed G8, I went over last year (just didn't have time this year). Incredible turn out and very gracious host. I really wanted to go this year as the raffle was for a Ute. https://www.facebook.com/groups/outbackinthemidwest 2 1
WillyBilly Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) I loves me some 9c1. I have owned at least 20 B-bodies from 94-96 including 7 9c1s, and one 1A2 police wagon. Also owned a 2012 Holden built Caprice like the one pictured above. Here is a few of my cars. I had the 2012 painted, and new hubcaps installed, and it was car #24 of the Billerica, Ma. police Department. 6.0 L77/6L80E/2.93 Limited slip The single photo of the Grand Sport themed 1995 9C1 was a Pennsylvania State police car. 5.7 LT1/4L60E/3.23 GM Auburn limited slip from an L99 powered 9C1 The 1995 1A2 wagon was NY Thruway car with its original color.
