Ken Car-Fanatic Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Ford "T" Green Hornet show & go roadster. So around 15 years ago, my dad gave this re-issued kit to me & said that he had built this when he was young. I built it pretty much box-stock except for the headlights that came out a Monogram 29 Ford roadster pickup. Just did paint detailing & added a couple of extra decals (the flame decals where with the kit, just blended the paint to match the engine block color). Fun build that was fairly quick. 8

Built that in about 1960. Forgot about the great hot rod features like the headers and easily removed body.
TooOld Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Another early Monogram kit that just scrams 60's ! really like your idea of blending the flames into the firewall , well done !
Kah puts Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Well if that ain’t the cat’s pyjamas! I’ve got like three of them , I think they scream model car’s 👍
Ken Car-Fanatic Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 Thanks to all for the nice comments, I almost forgot that I also drilled-out the header pipes as well to make them look better. My Dad passed away about 10 years ago & got to see this one, but I learned most of my techniques & skills from him, so this was sort-of a tribute to him.
