stitchdup Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 If any of you have netflix the new Senna series is well worth a watch. Plenty race action that looks fairly convincing. The background story isn't sensationalised either. I'm 2 episodes into it and i've really enjoyed it so far 2
PowerPlant Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Saw it recently, I was a bit concerned about production value, but once you get through the first couple episodes, as Senna advances into F1, it becomes obvious the producers did their job quite well. The cars, pit areas and racing sequences, combined with some real footage, I suspect, look quite convincing. I also liked performances from actors who played Alain Prost and Niki Lauda. If you have watched the excellent documentary about Senna, you will not learn anything new about his life and career from this series, but overall definitely worth a watch.
iamsuperdan Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Production is really good, but we found it incredibly boring. Somehow, just no excitement. Even in the racing scenes. The documentary from a few years ago was much better.
CabDriver Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I was excited for this, and it was OK, but it didn’t blow me away. Swing and a miss…like Dan says, the documentary was better. The fact that they built replicas of his various cars was cool though…

Did not learn anything new so for me it was a waste of time. I should have listened to myself after the first episode when I thought, meh, I guess I'll keep watching.
