59 Impala Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) I combined the AMT body with the back half of the Revell Miss Deal's top to create this 2dr sedan. Edited December 14, 2024 by 59 Impala 17
happy grumpy Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 That's one sweet looking ride. Love the colour. Super clean build
Chinacar Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Raymond Loewy's high water mark in design the Starlight Coupe! I gave a lecture about this design a few months ago, coincidence. Beautifully done model, it should be a classic on your shelf!
stavanzer Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Wow! Great KIt-Bash! I love the look of a Stock Stude. Good Show.
Zippi Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Oh yeah Dan, nice job on combining the two. Great color choice and that's some nice photos to Buddy.
espo Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Like the smooth body work and paint finish. Compared to most of the new cars that were on the road when this was introduced nothing compared for body styling. This build looks like its showroom fresh, great looking.
Kah puts Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 This is a pearl in every way, paint, detail, and execution 👍
TransAmMike Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Super nice Dan. I always liked those Studes. Great work!! 👍
59 Impala Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Thanks for all the kind comments, guys. I've been wanting to build a 2dr sedan for a very long time and I got the chance when a friend of mine had two of the Revell bodies and I went for the challenge. It's not perfect but looks good on the shelf. I mixed the color. I was going for an early 50's look and I think I got it pretty close.
