I just finished a 65 Galaxie convertible annual kit. It was kind of a glue bomber. But the body was good enough to work with. I glued the trunk lid shut, I didn't like its fit or the lack of it. And I don't care much for movable parts. I cut off the exhaust system after the mufflers and redid the pipes using solder. Slight detailing in the engine bay, plus I added arm rests and a scratchbuilt mirror face, and that's it. The chassis had an undefined fit in the body, a bit of adjustment was necessary. As well as a final readjustment of the stance. As the front and rear axles are quite detailed and a little bit fiddly and I wanted to keep the steerablility of the front wheels, a little bit of effort went into this topic. I tend to do this when the model is nearly finished, to not have to do it twice...

The color is Ford Honey Gold. The photos don't really catch it, it is more of a light green metallic.

Beautiful looking paint color for this body style, remember seeing a similar color on many Fords from this era. The interior also has a great OEM look to it. Like the realistic looking OEM finishes on the engine and chassis.
