vincen47 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 What an awesome project. I love the look of the tandem axles.
Firebuilder Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Brian, Thank you. The black pump panel does stand out and is the latest trend in fire apparatus. They still do produce many with stainless steel, or aluminum panels. All of my older builds had the chrome look, so the black stands out in the display cases. Dom

Victor, Thank you, they came out better than I thought they would. Still some work to be done on them, I spotted some things that need to be sanded more and realigned. Dom

They will need industrial size mains and in line pumpers to supply those behemoths!😵 Charles, here are a few more photos , one of a rig that was delivered to a refinery here in NJ. Note the 12 inch inlet ! 3
Firebuilder Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 The hose loads and the inlet and discharges are installed. It took some time to make them and then cast in resin . I noticed a few of the gauge decals fell off. So they will have to be replaced. Progress has been slow, but it’s getting there! 2
Chariots of Fire Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Try securing the gage decals with a drop of Testors clear gloss. They will stay in place just fine
Rockford Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Brilliant work here, it's going to look really impressive when complete. Excellent attention to detail on the pumping gear etc... Fire dept. equipment is just something else, so perfectly maintained. 1
