JollySipper Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Hey, guys! I'm just wondering if there is a spray can that will come close to this beautiful green color on this Buick......... I'd really LOVE to be able to find it in a non-metallic, solid color, but if that's not possible a pearl or metal flake would work........ Thanks for any help! 1
gman Posted January 27 Posted January 27 If Tamiya has a shade of flat olive drab in the ballpark, you could cover it with clear gloss to get the shine. https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pages/1960-buick If that Buick is a '60 it looks darker than Lucerne Green Poly, but it could be the lighting too. 2

I had a similar thought, though wasn't thinking Tamiya specifically. It certainly would work if hitting/picking the right shade of drab. 1
Bugatti Fan Posted January 31 Posted January 31 It you know the actual colour, some car body shop paint specialists are able to make matching paint aerosols.
1hobby1 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 It might be a shade darker than what you are after but this is Tamiya TS-2 out of a can. Hope this helps!
JollySipper Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 Thank you all for the comments/suggestions! Looking around online, I found this Krylon paint that I may purchase here soon....... I'm working on something right now that I want to have a green interior. If I like the shade enough, it will get used on what I intend to paint this green........... It's called Woodland Light Green. It being Krylon, I'll need to do some compatibility tests before I use it on anything..........
slusher Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I used Testors semi gloss Lacquer over it and it worked fine..

Hopefully it will stand up to the clear I want to use......... If not, I'll have to use the DupliColor 1K clear, which you can use over pretty much anything.
