gasman Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) Revell Germany released the 2025 catalogue in it includes 2025 Mustang easy click BMW E30 M3 McLaren 720s 1973 Mustang 1985 GMC Jimmy Jeep J-10 with camper and another stranger things kit that’s a new tool, it doesn’t say what it is, I didn’t watch the show so I have no clue what that could be. stitchdup Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The m3 looks to be the fujimi kit. they even used the fujimi box art for the pic

Matt Bacon Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The 1/24 Lambo Revuelto will be out in October, apparently, with this to come in November: I shall certainly have one of these, but not in boring Papaya Orange... best, M. 3

They've more or less covered all the main characters' cars in the show so far besides three; - Joyce's '76 Ford Pinto - Steve's '83 BMW 733 - Jonathan's '71 Ford Galaxy The others(used for several episodes) are the early eighties Indiana trooper Caprices, the Mercury Marquis wagon, a '85 Cadillac Eldorado convertible but they're highly, highly unlikely. Based on the length of the model in 1/25th scale, I honestly don't think either the BMW or the Galaxy are entirely impossible.

Joyce's 76 Pinto is the only other one that plays a really significant role, though Nancy's 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park would be a left field choice. There's a couple of "blink and you'll miss 'em" Bimmers belonging to main characters too... best, M.

BVC500 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Should turn this into a Nuremberg 2025 thread. Tamiya announced a BMW license. Wonder what kits they have in store. https://tamiyablog.com/2025/01/announcement-that-bmw-group-models-will-be-offered-again-from-tamiya/

The Fujimi kit is rubbish. It shared a generic chassis w/a Benz 190E (the Benz kit at least didn't suffer as much visually as the M3), has a very chopped roofline, and other strange decisions by Fujimi from the early 90's. But nope, let's do fresh printed graphics, a new box, and charge new-kit prices on an old kit that's worth about ten bucks in reality. That said, their money is likely being spent far more wisely on the 2025 Mustang GT, McLaren 750S, and Lambo Revuelto. It seems their C8 Corvettes are quite popular, I've see a lot of them built nicely on display at model shows and even at my local club meetings. 4

Just imagine a 3.0 CS/CSL done like their 240ZG/240Z street custom. Plus plenty of reissue possibilities w/the E24 6 series and various race cars. 5 1

If it does I suspect they re-pop the 635CSi again. The GT3 car would be nice, but NuNu has that project finished and in perpetual release delay for half a year now. I'd presume the Jeep J-10 w/Camper is a repop of the Honcho "Dude" kit Edited January 28 by niteowl7710 3
Jordan White Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Can I say that I’m disappointed that once again the kit of the new Mustang is a snap kit? 6
niteowl7710 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Also something that may not necessarily pop out reading it as the text list...there's the 1973 Mustang everyone around here was just demanding to see. Along with an '85 GMC Jimmy - which would already the next variant on the new Blazer. 4

I wonder what accessories the Jimmy will have? The '73 Mustang, is another easy lay-up choice.

When I search for an 83 733 Beemer, I see something that looks quite a bit like Monogram's old 635 CSi. It's a great kit, 75 parts sounds about right, and if they didn't sell it off to Atlantis, that could be the one. Throw in the Group 2 fender flares and rear wing, and it'd be a must-have.
Exotics_Builder Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Here is their YouTube video on the announcements. It is 30 minutes and includes all categories, but he is speaking English (please make some allowances for it being a second language and some items harder to put in our vernacular). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFoRarDVUuQ 1

Without being totally offensive..WHAAAAAAT? Sir that's two entirely different Series of BMWs...a 7 Series is over a half foot longer and 3" wider than a 6 Series. Sure all E3x BMWs have a family resemblance, but they're most certainly not a "close enough" to rebox the 635 and call it a 733 and not have the world fall on them. Which it already will when people realize they're getting that craptastic Fujimi kit in that E30 M3 box. 1

Rob Hall Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) Well, for the mystery car kit, if the numbers are accurate a 1/25th scale kit that is 208mm long translates to 1:1 car that is 204.5 inches. Too long for the 80s BMW 7 series, too short for a '71 Galaxie. Edited January 28 by Rob Hall
