Altered Ego Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Taking a break from Altered Wheelbase for a little bit. Started three new Pro Stocks this weekend and though I would share a sneak peak into what I am planning. 2
M W Elky Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Perhaps a Dyno Don Cougar in your future. Maybe a Rod Shop mopar or possibly Herb McCandless
Altered Ego Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 I've already done the Dyno Don Cougar, but I will give you a hint on the Cammer. Your Ed Terry and Dave Lyall Mustangs inspired me build this one. 1
Altered Ego Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Got the first two painted, decaled and mocked up today. 6
Old Buckaroo Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I was hoping that would be the "Motown Missile" when I saw those gold wheels in the slicks - The black paint looks smooth as glass on both. Is that a MPC Cuda body ? Ive been trying to locate a hood like that for one I have for same livery.

I’ve been wanting to build that Al Joniec car for years I’ve never been able to find the correct decals . Pole cat decals just came out with a set for the maverick plus a few other mavericks . I’ve never ordered anything from them but I need to. They are both coming along nicely
Altered Ego Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 The Joneic decals are from Polecat and applied nicely. The hood on the missile is from Slixx, a Competition Resins piece. Required a little sanding on both sides to fit correctly. 1
Altered Ego Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Making some progress on the Missile and thought I would share a couple of items. Decided to push the rules and go with a Lenco transmission. Thanks to RacheroSteve for providing the gold anodized Lenco shifter (perfect for this project). I also went with aluminum bucket seats. The wheel tubs from any AMT altered wheelbase kit fit perfectly and you can cut along the frame rail kick to get the perfect tread width with the wider slicks. 1
Altered Ego Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Got some work done on the Rice Holman Mustang as well. The cammer fits rather snugly, but it does fit. 2

The cammer looks good. It looks like you made the intake from a fuel injection manifold part from the 63 vette kit good idea
Altered Ego Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Good eye my friend. I thought it would be a modification someone would try back in the day. Adding a box plenum to the cammer manifold. 1
