I was admiring that fabulous looking paintjob and remembering some of the difficulties you had with paint a while back. What a tremendous improvement you've made from those days, eh? David G. I sure do appreciate your comments David. Yeah, I remember those days as well. Practice, practice, practice and it paid off.
Zippi Posted April 4 Author Posted April 4 I made a little headway this morning on the 37. The bmf just wanted to fight me all the way. Not the best but it is what it is. Glass is installed and I opted to not install the front glass in the doors. The hardest part coming up is installing the taillights. 6
DJMar Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Looking sharp! Those tail lights are a pain. The molded dimples on the kit fenders don't really help locating them. Any chance you could drill out the fender and lights for pins without harming the paint? 1

FoMoCo66 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Looks amazing, took a little brake from the hobby for almost a year (model railroad bug bit me in the butt) and missed out on some. This one looks amazing and glad I cought up on it. Keep up the good work!

David G. Posted April 5 Posted April 5 That looks fantastic Bob! With a big motor like that in a car like this, I think in real life the chassis would need to be beefed up a little against the torque. 😮 David G.

Yup, boxed chassis with a plate motor mount that bolts to the front of the engine a n d heavy duty transmission mount.
Zippi Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Well, I was getting ready to mount the rear taillights and had one in my tweeters and it popped out. I swept the floor and looked pretty good and never found it. Here are the two options I have on hand. The one with the chrome ring is off a 61 Impala and the others I'm not sure. 1

Dude, what is it with tweeser and small parts shooting into oblivion. It's even worse for me sence the room where I work on my stuff is carpet. I think the small ones from the impala look good. Just my two cents.

Zippi Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 Haha....look what showed up. My wife came out to the garage and ask what color was the part I lost. I guess it was stuck to my shoe when I walked in the house. To late, I've already glued the 61 Impala lights on.
