Greasefinger Posted February 10 Posted February 10 The Ferrari 250 GTO is a grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964. The 250 GTO was designed to compete in Group 3 GT racing, where its rivals would include the Shelby Cobra, Jaguar E-Type and Aston Martin DP214. A total of only 36 was produced and each of them still exists. The GTO is now arguably the most valuable collector car in the world. This Fujimi kit was a pleasure to build. Lots of small parts, but everything fit together well. The hardest part, and also most visible in the finished model, were the headlight bezels. I used Fujimi´s own photo-etch bezels which had to be formed carefully to match the body shape. The car body was painted with Tamiya Pure Red from the can. Chrome trim around windows is BMF. The model was built in 2024. I´d say the best looking Ferrari ever made, perhaps the best looking car? 19
Rich Chernosky Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Really sharp build of an iconic car. Is it the most beautiful car ever made ?? If you have ever seen one in person you would be hard pressed to disagree. 1
happy grumpy Posted February 10 Posted February 10 A real pleasure to look at. The golden era of car design. 1
Bugatti Fan Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) Really nice model build. Those wire wheels look really good. If the Fujimi Ferrari Daytona Coupe kit I have to build goes together as well as this kit I will be pleased. Edited February 10 by Bugatti Fan 1
Justin Porter Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Absolutely well turned out. You ought to be really pleased with that GTO. 1
karbuildr Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Beautiful rendition of a classic automobile. Very well done details. 1
Doug 1061 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Superb job all around. And some top notch photography also. 1
Belugawrx Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Very nice Kari ! Great looking dash details and the wire wheels came out great ! Cheers 1
Ragtop Man Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Beautiful build - the level of detail can sometimes test one's patience. I think your assessment of the GTO being the most beautiful of the front engine cars would only be contested by the LWB 250 California; in the mid engine category the 288 GTO is the winning hand. 1
Mike 1017 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Magnifico I am just starting my Fujimi kit, and I will use yours as a reference point, I hope mine turns out as well as yours. Mike 1

beeRS Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Stunning job on your GTO. Definitely one of the prettiest cars to ever have existed. The headlamp trims really make this model stand out. It’s so hard to get them to look that good. Well done.
