Katsusauce Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Started the NuNu Playstation M6 GT3 a few weeks ago. I'm also using the Detail Up kit for this build, along with adding my own plumbing and wiring in the interior. Lots of Carbon Fiber and Kevlar decals. 2
Katsusauce Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 Started by cladding the undercarriage with Carbon Fiber, and built up the brakes. 2
Katsusauce Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 Next up is the interior. This is where a lot of the work is, since there's no motor (curbside) 6
Katsusauce Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 (edited) Decided to paint the seat Medium Blue instead of Black, and wanted to make the seatback Kevlar. Edited February 23 by Katsusauce 5
Katsusauce Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 Interior mockup to see where I'm at, and what more I'd like to do to it. 5
Katsusauce Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 The detail kit came with photo etched safety nets. I mocked it up in the cockpit and hated the look, so I decided to make my own out of 2mm ribbon.
Katsusauce Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 Here's another look at some of the detailing in the cockpit 2
Katsusauce Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 I got 99% of the cockpit built and assembled. 2
Katsusauce Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Color has been sprayed, and started the decal work. It'll be at least a day and a half more to finish all the decals.....🤪 Paint is BMW "San Marino Pearl Blue" It's a 2020 BMW M6 factory color. 3
cifenet Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Excellent progress and detail work! The carbon fiber application looks awesome as well. The body came out great too, keep it up! 1
Katsusauce Posted Monday at 06:31 AM Author Posted Monday at 06:31 AM A little update on the BMW M6 GT3 project. All of the Photo-Etched parts for the body is on. I added a few 0.7 rivets where they're supposed to be. And most of the decals have been applied....most but not all. 🤣 3
BK9300 Posted Monday at 03:49 PM Posted Monday at 03:49 PM Your safety net and interior wiring details are very realistic! What type of wire are you using for your smallest wires, along the driveshaft tunnel? Very impressive detailing. 1
