Hello All, it's been a minute since I've posted a new build. It's funny how quickly one becomes rusty when stepping away from this hobby of ours :). Just to get back into the groove of things, I decided to build the relatively simple Pie Wagon re-issue by Atlantis. It went together quite nicely, but I felt the tires that came with the kit were a bit undersized. Thus, what you see here are some 1:24 scale tires and rims I had lying around from a couple of old diecast cars. I'm curious what you all will think of these more aggressive proportions.

The paint job, by the way is the details only. The main body is as it came out of the box.

In the below photo, you can really see the difference in proportions...

For comparison, here is a box photo with stock tires and rims:

The interior got a little extra love with a Model Car Garage gauge panel.

To get the stance just right, I dropped the working rear suspension down by a 1/4".

Overall, a very pleasant build!

The biggest weakness in any of the Tom Daniel kits, by modern standards, is the tyres.  Your upgrade improves the attitude significantly!

Cool additions to the kit. The tires really do it!

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.

Thank you Alan, I hoped it didn't look caricaturish when completed, but was personally quite pleased with the result.
