Been waiting for someone to post this. Figured no one knew who he was so wasn't gonna post anything.

Good guy and I liked his acting more than his music.

Fronts the New York Dolls.

Has extensive career as Buster Poindexter.

Lengthy acting career. I remember him as the cabbie in Scrooged.

 

Still not very well known.

That first New York Dolls album is timeless. 

Lots and lots of imitators in their wake !

I always like the song “Frankenstein” by The Dolls. Was never really a Buster fan. I remember when MTV was pretty new, and he did a small medley of songs from the Animals under his real name. I thought that was pretty cool.

Yep. I really liked his character in Let It Ride with Richard Dreyfuss too.

There is a very good show on him on cable. I forget where, I don't think Netflix had it.
