That's incredible work. I wish I could figure out how to get my paint jobs to come out like that! I also love the white interior. I would pick that over the tan. Also one of the first things that jumped out to me as well as the amazing detail was how incredibly reflective the hub caps are! Did you have them rechromed, or is that how they came? Not sure how many variations of this there were, but I have the Round 2 Auto World one with the trailer. Open box but still all sealed up inside, complete and not started.

Thanks Rob. I built this from the current reissue and it's contents are the same as the vintage box art version in your photograph. The wheel covers are that bright on the chrome tree. Sometimes I prefer to tone down wheel covers with either Testors Dullcote or a light coat of Tamiya TS-71 smoke. The kit goes together quite well but both times I've built this one the hood has been warped and required a soak in warm water with  some gentle bending to straighten it out.. As for the  paint work I have improved in the last five years but once in a while I won't get the base colored evenly or the clear will be unacceptable and I'll have to send it to the pond for stripping. So I'm a constant work in progress.

Absolutely stunning Caprice!  My mother was buying a nova in 75 at Nicky Chevrolet and they had a Caprice just like your model and my dad was looking at it.  Those was the day when you had to hang around a most of the day for financing to get worked out and haggling…

Tom, that is one fantastic build!  Colors are gorgeous and excellent chrome trim.  I've never really had much interest in this kit, but now you've got me thinking otherwise.

Thanks Carl. Yeah I remember the days of looking forward to the new cars being introduced by the manufacturers. Back when I liked the styling of cars such as this Caprice and many others.

Thanks Tony. For me the trim on this one takes patience. While that bodyside molding is wide it lacks a crisp edge so I ran thin strips of blue tape over the foil at each edge to use as a trimming guide.
