Waiting for some stuff from Joe at Fireball for the Dart so I started on this 62 IH Travelall 3D print from Madman Models I picked up on ebay awhile back ,,just shot the color today ,,,thinking either a few different shades of gray  or a combo blue/gray for the interior ,Very nice quality 3D print job with a detailed 345 V8

Very nice Scott, did you have to do a lot of sanding on the body before painting it?  There are so many interesting projects that are 3D printed.

Hardly any Francis ,,,just a few spots where the supports were ...very high quality print job,,,I ordered another kit from him,a 1969 Dodge Polara 4dr ,,,for a CHP cruiser I'm going to do

Thanks Scott!  Actually, I saw the Polara '69 2dr kit (3D printed) on eBay (there are 2 or 3 different sellers) and I was wondering what the rendering and overall quality of the product was.  Keep us informed of your impressions, it's good to have feedback from those who have the real object in their hands. 👍

By the way, I like projects that are different from what is very common, your '62 International certainly makes it a rare bird! 😊

Thanks Francis! My Dad had a 64 Travelall and 2 69 Scouts along with his 70 Fleetstar/Holmes 600 wrecker ,,,so I have a soft spot for Cornbinders !  I should have the Polara by the end of the week,,I'll start a thread for the build when I get it . Working part time has cut into my bench time,,,but I like the $$ ,,,,lol

Some progress on the Travelall.......all together,,,have to fab up an exhaust system,,this was a build and plan later job! lol, using some Chrysler mufflers and some pipes,,the Fireball tires/wheels and front lock hubs made a big difference,,I might try and add on the body side chrome molding .Have to make a battery tray-battery,master cylinder and wipers yet

Very, very cool Scott, it's just on his four wheels and we can already tell that it's going to be a sure hit.  There won't be many others on the table if you present it at a model car show!

I have to ask… how did you do the glass?  That seems like it will be my major stumbling block when I finally decide to build a 3D kit.

The kit printer included "bucks" for the glass ,which I used for templates with Evergreen clear sheet styrene and glued in from the outside with canopy glue

Thanks!  So no vacuform machine needed.  That’s great news! 🙂

Not on this one,,I guess if you had a windshield or back glass with compound curves you would need to

I had wondered if the windshield would have needed that, but obviously not - it looks great!
