BK9300 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Great looking engine and I like your headache rack and winch cage setup. Whatever you're using for winch line sure looks the part, too. Very nicely done! 1

Jürgen M. Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Nice! I'm glad that my Superliner is not the only one here. Are you going to use a kit body or printed? 1

Swamp Dog Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 (edited) UPDATE....been busy on the Heavy Haul but got to stop and build a Gasser race car for a friend. truck & fenders are Sunshine Yellow, frame Gloss Cranberry, winch tower & tail roller Gloss Colonial Red, tanks, tool box & catwalk are Metallic Aluminum..the tanks were a pain in the butt as i did not want them looking like freightliner tanks so i shortened the right hand side and re built the steps with Auslowe's tank step holes. since i added the MP8 i decided to go ahead and add exterior air cleaners. (paint drying) i had to dream on that one a few nights. was not the first time i fixed a problem in my dreams..lol..some weathering has been done with pastels. the winch line i weathered it first with Vallejo's light rust wash and while it was still wet i dusted it with a light brown pastel just to give it a worn and a little rusty affect..(picture kinda dark). found some Mini Code 3 on eBay. they were red but the guy did me some Amber ones. great guy to deal with.. added tool box and folding handle binders that Jay from 3D Concepts had sent me. added mud flap weights and i think that's about it.. still lots to do.. ShakyCraftsman Posted April 7 Posted April 7 It's looking great David. I like your winch cable. Dry brush a little silver or steel over it,then it will be perfect. Ron G 2
BK9300 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 You're making terrific progress, David - really like how it's all coming together. If this truck is going to work in the patch, that nice paint could get muddy in a hurry! Great job. 1

Great job. i got a friend that works up in the patch. some day you cant tell what kind of truck he drives but as soon as he gets to the shop the first thing he does is wash his truck. lol..the frame has been heavy weathered with pastels (that's all i ever use) tire tread also. it will get more as i finish but not like my oil field trucks.. i just bought a 1/24 scale file from cults for a Tigercat 630H skidder so it will probably be pulling a RGN trailer with the skidder on it.. 3
