I have been working on this build since last November.  Everything was going fine until yesterday morning I had a disaster when gluing on one of the headlights and the paint.  I solved the problem pretty quick this morning by wet sanding and repainting the fender around the headlight and drug it across the finish line.  Paint is Tamiya Blue Violet and cleared with Splash Paints 2K Clear.  The engine is a BBC from the Iceman and wired.  I cut off what little nubs that were there for door hings and cut new ones from a paperclip.  I also got rid of the funky center hood hinge.  Other than that it is pretty much out of the box.

What a wicked little ride. Can you imagine this, wheels up, down the 1320?

My hat's off to you on the shiny paint and stunning color combo.

Very cool ride, looks so nice in that color, smooth shiny paint. Ready to go places!👍

Thanks Mario.  Yeah, the color turned out pretty nice.  It only goes to two place....the start line and finish line.

Great looking little truck Bob. Good save after the headlight mishap, your patience definitely paid off. The purple colour is an excellent choice, and that Iceman engine awesome.

Thanks Steve.  Yeah, I pulled another rabbit out of the hat.  Yup, the Blue Violet is fitting for this Willy's. The Iceman always puts out some nice stuff.

Beautiful paint finish and like the color. Clean looking interior and chassis. Like the subtle look of the engine colors.

That's beautiful! Nice recovery on the "mishap". I had a similar one on my 62 Impala w.i.p.

Thanks man.  Yeah, I got lucky right.  I'll check out your build.
