I am building the reissue of the 68 Coronet R/T  convert. I have a better chassis to put under it, AMT 69 GTX. I think the build would look great with a set of steelies and dog dishes. Anyone know who produces some?

Thanks

Tim

Wouldn't they be the same as the ones in the Revell '68 Charger kit?

That kit has chrome magnums.  Not steel wheels and hubcaps

The Revell Special Edition '68 Charger comes with Magnum 500 wheels, in addition to optional steelies and dog dish caps that should work on a '68 Coronet.

This kit. I don't make statements like that unless I'm positive. 😉

This is a set that is on the auction site right now…

That kit is a parts goldmine: 3 sets of wheels, two engines, stock and scooped hoods…

If you are into muscle Mopars, that Charger and the '68 Hemi Dart are both must-have kits.  Both are gold mines in terms of parts.  And in many cases, you can lift desirable parts for a project AND still build the kit.

No way to know looking at the box art.  The steelies/poverty caps aren't even shown/mentioned on the side panel.  I suspect the Revell USA team made a point of adding them since the Magnums weren't correct for a Hemi car.

Then the doofuses (doofi?) who created that box art didn't even show/mention the new parts.  Perfect example of Hobbico shooting themselves in the foot.

The 383/440 (yes, it can be both!) in the ‘68 Dart is my go-to for a big block Mopar engine with an automatic. Swap the exhaust manifolds and air cleaner to suit, and it can be used in almost anything!
