I’ve seen a few F&F models that pretty much blew me away. I was hoping to reach out and see if it was possible to purchase stl files on a couple kits. However,I’m not finding F&F Resins on Google. Does anyone have info on how to contact them? Has the name changed maybe since 2007? Can you even purchase stl files from these guys?

F&F was a resin casting company, not a 3-D printing company.

No files, resin cast product from molds.

This is a post from 2007. Ed has long passed and his son was no youngster. Ed was a nice guy I had a long phone conversation with him regarding the accuracy of his 1960 Ford panel truck. I should have bought another when I had the chance!

F&F Resin was ran by the late Ed Fluck. His son, Ed Jr., has started his own business called Drag City Casting. Eddie is gradually phasing in some of his father's old product and has introduced a number of his own stuff. I have some of DCC's hoods and they are good quality. I have an old F&F '62 Nova that was probably nicer when it was new. Mine has some faded chrome and a slight warp to the roof from improper packaging. I bought it second hand on Ebay and is probably not representative of the original quality.

I have one of his '56 Mercs, nice stuff he did!

No chrome, but NOW we have Revell spray!

I've always wanted to do a period custom, maybe now I should!

Drag City Casting is still in business, but I don't believe he carries any of his dad's product line.

@Riser70 you've come to the right place looking for information on the hobby. If you are under the assumption that resin kits you've seen produced by F+F are 3D printed that is simply not the case. They are resin copies of a physical master, so there are no files to buy. And any F+F product will probably bring a pretty penny since they have been out of production a long time and are of high quality.

However, if you mean F+F like Fast and Furious that is a completely different matter.

I'll sell that Merc if someone wants to build it?

Probably best to contact me off the board though, I don't think selling is allowed.

I would see about buying it, if I could convince Ed to repop it. Seeing as how Ed Sr.'s stuff is getting pretty rare these days. Ed jr. is awful funny about repoping other people's work because he's had some of his own work stolen and repoped then sold on Ebay. So I can see it, plus Ed is a businessman of tip top integrity! He's also a pretty good friend so I can say that because I know it about him, we've talked about such stuff.  Let me see if I can get ahold of him and we can see what we can do, it would be all dependent on if Ed would be willing to redo this kit. I'd love to have one and love for other people to have one too! Be a great way to memorialize his dad too.

I really should finish this up, it's an F&F. I think it's the only one of these I've ever seen.
