RIXprints Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hi, gang. I'm checking in from sunny Myrtle Beach. I have been printing 1/12 scale kits of hot rods, customs and drag cars for a while and I am a long-time subscriber to the printed magazine. In an effort to keep the hobby going and reinforce the 1/12 scale genre, I decided to print the appropriate bodies in plastic to make the building process easier for the builders. Standard glue and paints work perfectly with the filament parts. A very popular body for the drag racers is the 69 Nova kit. I have the 64, 66 and 69 generation of Novas, 55 Chevy, 40 For coup,33 Willys coup and a huge selection of engines, wheels, tires, interiors and seats.
Bugatti Fan Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) Welcome Richard, I think this post needs to be in Car Kits News And Reviews as it is new product information and will get more views in there probably. It might also be an idea also to set up a link? Edited March 22 by Bugatti Fan
SpeedAndViolence Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Welcome Richard! Looking forward to reading more about your printing work!!
RIXprints Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 This is a 1/8 scale build of a fictitious twin-engine Bonneville car. It is entirely 3D printed. Some files have been purchased on line and 1/3 are my CAD pieces. 1
pulln4dejr Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Welcome Richard! I see you can print in 1/12 scale, I would/need a 1/12 scale hideaway headlight grille and convertible boot for the Revell Camaro!!! I’m sure you could probably sell/trade quite a few grilles hear and elsewhere! P.M. me if you can help me out!!
