M W Elky Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) I’m getting started on a new project one that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, and now that the decals are available it’s time to get started. From looking at the reference photos the car used a stock wheel base ,and stock roof height body . Which makes the polar lights body the wrong choice. However it can be used for parts as I will be doing by cutting off the front grill and hood and tail light panel and deck lid and grafting to the mpc barracuda body shell that was in my parts box and missing it’s hood grill and tail lights. With everything thing cut apart it looks like it will be a good alignment between the two with just a little bit of filing and sanding . I’ll probably use the Mach won kit chassis as it already has a short wheel base I’ll most likely use the amt parts pack 392 hemi with comp resin m/t valve covers . The paint job will be a mixture of two testors lacquer colors to achieve a lime gold color Edited March 21 by M W Elky Spelling added text 3

AmericanMuscleFan Posted March 23 Posted March 23 That's some serious bodywork you've done there Michael, you're no novice, it's very well done! It's a very interesting project, I'll come back and see your progress, with "Barracuda" in the title you've got me hooked! 😊

Sketch1982 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I LOVE this!!! Anxious to see it finished. I did a shirt design for Clare a few years back of this car. I was honored he approved it.
