Aymer Güneş Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) Hello everyone, I converted AMT's 57 Bel Air into a pro mod drag car. I made the chassis from 2mm plastic rods to the right dimensions. I made the suspension parts, engine, exhaust and cockpit myself. The front rims were my least favorite part. Other than that I'm happy with the result. Edited March 23 by Aymer Güneş 9

Andrew McD Posted March 24 Posted March 24 (edited) Great looking pro-mod. Impressive scratch built chassis. What did you base the chassis design on? Was it your own design or based on an existing car? Edited March 24 by Andrew McD 1
RIXprints Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I'm a big pro mod fan. I have tons of garage photos for those who want to tackle one of these. 1

I did a lot of research on the internet. I used 2mm plastic rods. I learned that the chassis profile thickness of real cars is about 50mm, which is 2mm in 1/25 scale

RIXprints Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) You are welcome to any photos that I have. I made decal artwork for the contingencies as well. This sheet is for the 37 Chevy pro mod. Edited March 25 by RIXprints spell 1
