OldNYJim Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Anyone able to ID this one? The engine looks like a later piece than the body, which is one piece with molded-in interior, and molded in red. No manufacturer’s marking on the inside of the body or under the frame…anyone recognize this one? 1
Bainford Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Cool old rod. The "1957" plate on the front is interesting. 2
StevenGuthmiller Posted March 26 Posted March 26 All that I can tell you is that the wheels and tires are from the Monogram ‘58 T-Bird kit. Otherwise, it’s not my genre. Steve 1

1930fordpickup Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) It could be a strombecker model. not sure the pyro, lindberg or the other off brand had a one piece body with an interior molded in. Palmer was the other off brand. It does look to be kit bashed for the nice look it jas now. Edited March 26 by 1930fordpickup Name of off brand.
stavanzer Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I have no clue what it is, but give it a bath and some gentle cleaning, and affix that left front wheels, and you got one heck of a "Survivor" display piece! 2
1930fordpickup Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I think Junkman is correct. That is one Lindberg kit I dont have or have not looked at before.
OldNYJim Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 Yep, bingo, that must be it! It’s a cool old piece that someone did a nice job of anyway - it’ll get a gentle restoration at some point, soon as I find a windshield frame for it… Thanks fellas!
