New F1 movie. Anyone interested??

Hi, just saw the new F1 trailer. Looks nice.

On an early talk show Mario Lopez said they were the fastest cars on the planet.

I guess he forgot TopFuel and Funny Cars on Nitro.

I don't know, its got to compare itself to "Redline 7000".  A high standard to be certain.

True....but.....they do it for a short time in a straight line. F1 can go into a turn from 205mph to 60mph and back to 185mph and do it lap after lap on a track 3.6 miles long in 1 min 25 seconds.  

I look forward to the film and if I do not like it I'll just keep rewatching Grand Prix even though a different era.

There's always hope when a new racing movie comes out. Let's wish for special effects that are not too over the top.

I expect excellent racing... unlike the snooze fest real F1 has been in the last 20 or so years.

I'll have to see it since I'm a race fan but for some reason I'm not getting a good vibe from this. I could be completely wrong but just have a feeling.

I've been following F1 for almost 50 years. In most cases, recent F1 drivers' careers last until they reach their 30s, rarely their 40s

Brad Pitt (ageism factor) as an F1 driver.... hahahaha!

Actually, Indy Cars (on an oval) have a higher top speed than F1.

Hamilton is 40 and Alonzo is 43. 🙂

But, yes, I'm not buying Brad Pitt (61) as an F1 driver.

I guess he forgot that SWEEEET '07 Taurus I have. 

I'll check it out. Like many others, the Netflix series got me interested a few years ago.

He forgot about Indycars. Much faster than F1. F1 is quicker, but not faster.

Count me in.  Just hope it's not Top Gun in open-wheel cars.  As mentioned above it'll be tough to compete with Rush and Grand Prix.
