noname Posted April 13 Posted April 13 I'm showing these together because I switched the boxes on these two Fords. 14 1
'70 Grande Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Excellent builds! Tell us more about that blanket seat cover cuz it looks fantastic!
Chuckyg1 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Nice work on both of these. excellent weathering. I love all detail items in the truck beds, they help bring more realism to the builds. Where did you find these items?
ncbuckeye67 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Wow, talk about a dynamic duo! Your weathering is perfection in scale modeling. Just enough to look real, without going overboard. The added detailing really brings it home.
noname Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Thanks for the comments guys. The fabric is a 1:1 fabric from my wife's sewing odds and ends. You just need to find something with a fine thread/weave and a pattern that is in scale. The junk in the back is a mix of parts box bits and scratch built items. Sometimes it is a mix of both. For example, there is those gas cans and tool boxes found in old Amt kits that are a good starting point but have soft details. Just remake spouts, handles and hinges etc. and you can really bring them around.
happy grumpy Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Great rendering of working trucks, I like everything about those 2. Excellent weathering. Those extra details surely add to realism.
espo Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Very realistic looking aging and weathering on the body finishes on both builds. All the added little details in the beds and interiors also add to the look.
Nosferatu Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Very nice weathering! Both trucks have the perfect look. I especially like the leaves in the bed of the plow truck, nice detail! Dave
FoMoCo66 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I would say there's at least 10 ford trucks cobbled together to make 2 by the looks of it. By the way, nice job!
noname Posted April 17 Author Posted April 17 Thanks guys. Ha! ya that is 72 bed on a 67 cab. Plus the yellow door.
Steve H Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Couple of cool builds there Matthew. As the others have said, fantastic weathering, and just enough without going overboard.
carrucha Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Cool beater trucks! Very realistic weathering. Good detailing.
