Trumpeter kit. If you like lots and lots of tiny parts, this is the kit for you. The paint is Folk Art Metallic "Green Silk". The interior is various mixes of Testors. All the parts that should have been kit chrome but weren't, are Spaz Stix chrome. I wish I had done a better job on the interior, thought I could just freehand it. Oh well, as Dirty Harry said, "A man's got to know his limitations". So I guess not so bad for an old man with shaky hands. The trunk liner is a pattern I found on the web, resized and repeated in MS Word, and printed on white decal paper.

That is super cool; I like the '60 Pontiacs. This is a vintage kit, correct?

Thanks, Nathan! I believe it is a vintage kit. No idea if it's ever been re-issued. Also available as a hard top, see here:

Thanks, Curtis! Yes, it took time and patience, but I enjoyed it.

Really nice job Hugh on this less-than-perfect kit. I've built a fair number of Trumpeter aircraft and ship kits and the quality varies all over the place.

Our next door neighbor had one of these '61's in a white hardtop back in the days when middle class folks would upgrade every 1-2 years. I like your green one better.

Very nice Poncho. Gotta love these big boats from back in the day. Looks great in the color you chose, and the interior looks exceptional to me. Good job.

I'm thinking this kit is something like 20 years old now..give or take?????

I remember when it came out and the common talk was it was a reasonably accurate kit .

I have an original AMT version. Or I would have built one .

Looks great btw
