DoctorLarry Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Trying to get around the "page not found" problem. I have text but it won't go through so this is a test. Bear with me. I can explain the pictures. 3
LennyB Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Larry, pager not found has been an issue for a while. There was a post a while back on the issue. There are certain words that trigger the problem. Read more here.
DoctorLarry Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 A colleague of mine is retiring soon. He had two Challengers at the same time: a 1970 Challenger T/A and a 1970 Challenger convertible. The T/A was rather unique: dark green with a green interior and the convertible was orange. Quite a pair! He once remarked that if I ever built one he would buy it from me so I thought doing them would be a nice send off. I found a T/A kit and a resto candidate on Ebay. The kit was a first for me-styrene, no resin, no handmade parts. His car was mildly modified with M/T valve covers and an Accel Super coil. I found the coil in resin but no luck on the valve covers so I painted them black. The kit has good interior detail bout minimal engine detail and a flat firewall. I added heater hoses, a distributor and plug wires and battery cables, For the firewall I made a blower motor, wiper motor and ignition amplifier. I used craft paints for the interior-a first. It turned out okay. I used embossing powder for the carpet. Exterior paint PPG acrylic enamel in the factory color. I need to foil the body and do decals. Tires and decals are from Fireball in correct E-60 and F-60 sizes. His car had Pro-Trac 60's so I ordered the decals from Fireball. The resto candidate was a Challenger convertible that had been badly painted pink. I carefully masked and repainted the pink bomber and am just detailing it. I still have to do the engine compartment. Pictures above in the post. 30 minutes ago, LennyB said: Larry, pager not found has been an issue for a while. There was a post a while back on the issue. DoctorLarry Posted Thursday at 02:35 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:35 PM Got major work done on both. The orange car rebuild is complete. It was not a Challenger R/T so I had to fill in the hood opening for the shaker. The rest was just masking, repaint and detail. The pink car in the photo was the glue bomb I started with. It was a 44 six pack so I had to fab up a single 4 barrel intake and air cleaner. The green car is awaiting mirrors and tire decals to be complete. I added a resin distributor, plug wires, Accell Super Coil, heater hoses and battery cables. 1
