Kustommerc Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Lookin Great Cruzer ! I'm sure with Your attention to Paint and detail, it'll be a Beauty in person ! Good work...
Chillyb1 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Well, that's just terrible. I'm sure my fellow modelers will agree that you should probably just give up the hobby before you embarrass yourself further with shoddy, sloppy work like this Starliner. I mean, you can hardly tell it's a car! Sell the supplies and get out while you can. Of course, that's just the jealousy talking (and maybe a little of the envy, too). That is a beautiful model and so well executed I'm stunned into near speechlessness. I'm new to this forum and I spent last evening going through your WIP thread for this build and I enjoyed every second of it. Time well spent for a modeler who aspires to your level of quality. AWESOME WORK, Cruz.
Lyle Willits Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 That's beautiful. I wanna see this one at the next MAMA meeting.
chris coller Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Holy chrome Batman! Cruz that came out simply awesome. Much like everything else you build, top notch work my friend. I aswell want to see this in person. The color is a very good choice with wide white walls. Very complimentary.
Harry P. Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 wow, that's a beauty! Needs to be in the magazine...
Charlie Magers Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Now look what you've gone and done......... Incredible!

Foxer Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 That paint really loves the sun ... looks like it wants to go for a burger! Fantastic look Marcos!
Kustommerc Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Thank you guys, it ain't that nice, believe me there's a lot of mistakes on this thing I am going to have to talk to Harry so that he can show me how to use photoshop and hide them!!! Repeat after Me.."These are not mistakes, they're Artistic deviations "
Guest Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Thanks alot! Now I have to get a mop and wipe up all the drool! That may be one of the best builds I have EVER seen! No bs!! Did you use photoetched parts for the grill and badges? What is that color? How about underhood and chassis shots?
Olle F Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Thank you guys, it ain't that nice, believe me there's a lot of mistakes on this thing I am going to have to talk to Harry so that he can show me how to use photoshop and hide them!!! I usually take my pictures from certain angles and a bit out of focus, that will make anything look good. Seems like you have done it again, that's a beautiful model! Got any shots of the engine?
JayVee Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Looks excellent, those whitewalls are perfect. How did you do the gold Starliner script? Paint? Gold foil?
cruz Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 Paint is Dupli-Color Cayenne Red, used photo-etch emblems and grill/detail set from Model Car Garage. Here are some chassis and engine shots!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

Randy Kern Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Simply beautiful in every way, Cruz. That Dupli-Color shade of red is also pretty close to one of my favorite Tamiya colors, Mica Red. Another masterpiece there, my friend!
Andy Wyatt Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Da-a-a-a-mn Cruz! That is SHARP! Can't wait to see this one in person!
