Guest Mustang3.8 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) Hey, y'all. Here's my next WIP. It's the car that John Candy drove in Uncle Buck. I will be using an Arii 1972 Thunderbird as the base car. Any ideas on the conversion, guys? Edited July 3, 2009 by Mustang3.8
pstreet Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 awesome, too bad there isnt a way to make a scale backfire. although some pulled cotton coming out of the muffler might give you the effect without the sound. good luck with your build, uncle buck is one of my favorite john candy movies, then again all john candy movies are my favorite john candy movies.
Foxer Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 cool! That will be a fun one to weather. Might take the heavy aluminum foil method for that front fender dent. This is gonna be DIRTY!
george 53 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 WoW Kevin, THAT'S some REAL out the box thinkin! I LOVE it! Yep, I can see the T-Bird lines in it too! Shouldn't be too hard to fab a grille, those cars all seemed to share basic styling cues. This will be a REALLY interesting conversion, I'm looking forward too it. I hope you do complete it cas it would be a GREAT master for some resin caster.(Just find an honest one) I'd be nice to have a "normal " family car for a change.Everything(just about) out now is a copy of an older kit. It'd be nice to see a whole new casting of something NEVER done before. Keep us up to date, please!
