BMC Tackle Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I just purchased the Leroy Yarbrough 98 Mercury Cyclone kit from Model Round Up, great outfit, this is my 2nd purchase and they have been great. It appears from just opening the kit, that the polar light kits are of good quality. This is my first Polar Lights kit ever. I was just curious what everyone's opinions are.
JTRACING Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I made one a while back, they are pretty good and lots of fun to make.
BMC Tackle Posted November 8, 2006 Author Posted November 8, 2006 Yep, thats the same kit I got. How did you achieve the dirty (track silt coating) look over the white?
John Bowman Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Nice work... how did you get the nose to set so nice in the front. These Polar Lights kits tended to have a nose that wrapped upwards if front to the front wheel wells.

These Polar Lights kits tended to have a nose that wrapped upwards if front to the front wheel wells. I reversed the front spindles on mine to tuck those tires/wheels up some. I made a little relief cut on both fenders at the red mark and bent the nose down.
