Yes, it's officially count-down time for the Lower Left Coast NNL in San Diego.

This will be a great show.

It's really good to see our own Darryl Gassaway back in the saddle putting on his infamous shows.

This time, MCM is a proud sponsor of the show with the San Diego Model Car Club, which is the local IPMS club in San Diego.

I am flying in to LAX on a red eye, arriving around 5:00 a.m.

I would like to spend the day up in LA, maybe have a get together somewhere there, or at Pegasus?

Then head down to San Diego in the late afternoon.

I am open for suggestions/ideas.

Let's help Darryl make this the biggest, and best, Lower Left Coast NNL Ever!

5:am on what day Gregg..? Not sure what you have in mind, I live near Pegasus but it's not open until 11 am & you'll want to be rolling by then if on the 9th. Can you land at Ontario or meet up at the NHRA Museum in Pomona..? I can play host for the most part but I don't know what you expect..! The vendor section is sold out so bring some $$$ for all those goodies you gotta have !

I'm not sure exactly what you mean about loss of wheels unless it's another in an endless parade of LA insults. Sorry bud, but you'll have to do better than that..! We all roll on 24's now (unless ya park it in South Central) I was born & raised in the southland so I already have a thick skin there Kahuna.

Ok, back to reality or the lack of... We have gearhead entertainment in the form of the Peterson Automotive Museum (corner of Fairfax & La Brea) in w. LA. Plus we have the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Museum on the grounds of the Fairplex Pomona,CA (the home of organized drag racing). When you came to the Grand National Roadster show, you were standing about 100 yards from it. I'm a volunteer at this one & can get you the dollar tour gratis.

If history is not your cup of tea, then you might want a shop tour of Barris or Foose or something like that. I live very close to So Cal Speed Shop, again in Pomona. I might be able once again to get ya a tour of some kind. As for Barris & Foose, you're on your own, too bad Boyd passed, I knew him & Jo...

If you'd rather keep to scale fun, the local club is called the Southern California Kitbashers & I'm like a 1/2 member (long story, ask later). If I ask soon, I bet we could have a BBQ of local builders & or hang out by the pool. You can expect temps in LA to be around 100 +- a couple as it is right now until late Oct... So maybe a poolside chill is in order..?

Like I said. I'm a local & know everything from the local YMCA to the XXX clubs, so it's your call (at least after 8am) as we are all tired from stealing wheels & hubcaps the night before..!

I second this, Gregg. It is a great place to see, and we are not going to have it much longer. We met up with the Kitbashers, there a few years ago and we all had a really good time.

This is what we saw that day...

Man I am gonna miss that place. Also if you have a AAA card you get a discount for everybody in your party's entrance fees.

Got in through the back, so don't know what the front looks like

I think that's the same one.

I want to see the other ones in LA.

I guess Peterson is the other big one?

I will Google it and see where it's at. (What would life be like without Google?)
