chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 It's just gross how badly they made this. Still, it's the closest I'd get to a GT6 in my home scales of 1/24 and 1/25.
62rebel Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 beats a block of wood and a three-view plan on paper.

Yes, and judging from Ray's model, the general proportions of the body shell look pretty good...well within the ballpark to be correctable into a fairly accurate representation of this car.
Dave Van Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I worked on that Model King version....I did the decal art. Sean S did a build up....a very nice build. He trimmed the window trim on the windshield and scribed new trim. A few other small corrections made a nice model. Maybe he will spot this and post it.
62rebel Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 i wasn't aware that this kit had that much working detail... for a 1/25th scale model of an already SMALL car.. i might hunt down a couple.
PatW Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 As I had a lot of these around on the day, years ago, the windscreen is too small and the body can be easily modified to sort this. A larger thin piece of acrylic sheet can be cut to add the larger screen.
bonehead23 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 They should be ashamed to ask so much money for this piece of junk. I started one, and actually put a Mustang 5.0 in it, and better wheels, but the chassis and body problems sent it back into its box. Nothing fit without tons of work, and I gave up. I seldom ever do that but this kit is THAT bad. I'll probably use the wheels and engine in another project. Nice concept, miserably poor execution, overpriced final product. If you dig doing a lot of work, I mean a LOT, get one. If you don't like to scratch-build and re-engineer everything, avoid this one.
