Does the tooling for the Revell 'Grease' motorcycles exist?

I stand corrected on the Campus Friends set which did only include the Vespa. Tamiya also released a set of 4 scooters which included the Vespa, a Yamaha Beluga, Honda Tact, and Suzuki Gemma. They were all typical 80s style step-through scooters. Tamiya more recently issued a Yamaha T-Max in 1/24 which is a pretty cool modern scooter. Someone did a P/E set for it, too!!

In addition to the Heller GP bikes, Hasegawa released several different GP bikes in the mid 90s. To get really obscure, Protar did a 1/24th Honda NSR500 in the early 80s in 2 different markings. They were white metal and P/E and plastic. They looked accurate but tough to build. I never attempted them. I have long since sold mine off.

There are hundreds of different diecast built-up motorcycles and scooters in 1/24th. I won't even begin because this thread was about kits in 1/24-5.

There are some lunatics producing 1/43rd vintage GP bike kits in France or Italy. Cheeses!!!

I have a Tamiya Honda city tubo kit #2430 it has a Motocompo mini bike ,i dont know if that was mention in the mini bike conversation ,it also has a cool driver figure ,and all the parts to motorize it ..

Jon, yes it was the first issue, a circa 2000-2001 Harley Dyna Glide Custom, along with the aftermarket Harley trailer that was shown at the Chicago Auto Show when Ford introduced the Harley F150. Also yes, it is a seperate, stand alone tool that theoretically could be inserted into any kit box (as long as there was room). I would prefer it to be reissued with Harley licensing and tank decals, even if it cost a bit extra.

I did a buildup of this kit in Model Cars magazine a couple of years ago. Here's what it looks like, updated (more or less) to 2006 Dyna Glide Custom specs.

does anybody know if there are any manufacturers that make 1/24-1/25 scale motorcycles diecast or styrene.i think 31/2 inches to 41/2 inches would be to proper scale.i was going to build THE WORLDS FASTEST INDIAN using a small scale airplane body as seen inthe pictures.ive googled it and came up with miasto but they are mostly street crotch rockets.also evil kinevils 750 harley diorama jump.thanks in advance ALL PICTURES ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY

I do know Maisto used to make diecast Harleys in 1/25 scale, but these are hard to come by nowadays... I was looking to get some to go with my Harley Davidson Ford panel-van, but haven't had any luck yet.

Not sure about an Indian, but since Burt Munro's bike was heavily modified anyway, perhaps you could build it out of some of the aforementioned bikes... Should you be able to locate any, that is...

Munro's engine was highly modified. Any affordable engine in that scale will be stock and a nondescript lump. The wheels will not be visible, and the frame is not stock. Use O-rings for tires, laminated styrene discs for wheels, and a scratchbuilt engine and frame.

I need help for a diorama. Looking for 1/24 or 1/25 motorcycles , or what kits were they are extras.Would prefer a chopper ,but vintage would be ok.

Also, has anyone seen any skulls that would work in 1/25?

The MPC Monte Carlo has a Honda chopper in 1/25, the Mongram Cherry Bomb kit has a Chopper Harley, I think in 1/24. I just sold a Revell combo kit on E-Bay, which had Both a Harley chopper,and a Honda. in it in 1/25. Revell has a Triumph in 1/25. A few years ago Revell did a Ford truck with a Harley Street bike, in 1/25. There are a few kits with Minibikes added to them as well.

Skulls are really seasonal, usually in the Months before Holloween. Is when they are most abundant. You could check those War Game places.

Also someone is resin casting the old Ace / Indian 4 in resin. It's also stock but not cheap.

William the red minibike came from a Tom Daniels kit. It was the baja bandito or something along the lines of that. The Vandal kit included a Taco mini bike. Here's a "Show version" of the taco I built last year. Not the best but it was a re build.

Why? Why don't we have these? The ancient Revell pieces are neat, but why isn't there contemporary versions? 1/25 scale bikes would be a very good seller in my opinion. As opposed to a car/truck kit, the parts count is a fraction, yet you could sell them profitably because IT'S A WIDE OPEN MARKET.

Imagine a 4 bike kit of old H-D's, an Ariel, Vincent, etc… Or a Katana, Ninja, a GSR…. Or a variety of Harley's & Buells? Imagine someone like Mobius tackling this? I know… I know….pinch me, I'm dreaming!
