I dunno....it don't like me and the firewall fit is awful...but it will be dun!! and it should go inna purple pond...cause t235 white plastikote primer is thicker than mud..I normally use duplacolor linen white as a base under light colors just look at the defroster vents....frozen????? Jantrix Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 My opinion? SUCK. Keep goin tho, I love the gold.
voljeepx Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I dunno 'bout the purple, but I like the rest of it! It is pretty cool that you're thinkin' of doing something different with the kit, just need to find something more appealing on the side!
MikeMc Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 Its Purple Pond time...............to be continued
MikeMc Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Defroster vents...................look at em
John Truby Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Yeah, you're right. The paint does look really thick on those vents, but on a positive note, that Inca Gold color is beautiful. John
MikeMc Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Thats better........ 12 hours of DOT3 and all the paint is gone! Now solve my primer issue and back to Inca Gold!!!!(new beer...inca gold ale!! ) Edited December 12, 2009 by MikeMc
MikeMc Posted December 13, 2009 Author Posted December 13, 2009 Had good luck today....Used a silver base over my grey primer and reshot Inca Gold and some clear to shrink flake size down!! will get new pix in the daytime.....
crazyjim Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Looks real nice. Gonna show some interior pics? Wish somebody made scale Lee Plastics taillights - the ones that coved the whole chrome taillight housing. You had to put the gas filler in the truck because you couldn't twist the housing piece to get to the original. Anybody remember that?

I'm not that old........ ..........meanwhile heres a couple for ya!!
crazyjim Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The interior looks real good too. Too young? The Lee light were cool. Instead of the little bullet lens, the whole taillight thing was covered. Guys used to crumple tinfoil and put it in the housing before the lens went on. Gave the light a nice effect through the plastic. Here's what the lens looked like. http://www.customrodder.com/features/0701c...e/photo_07.html
