RodneyBad Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Well I liked the first one enough with out the fenders to try it again. My Friend Gave me another 32 Chrysler but it was a 4dr Not this good of shape tho. LOL.. I shortened it 2 scale feet using 1"inch Masking tape and cut it around that area. (give or take a hair)Frame and body. Channeled the body over the frame. Just used some extra wheels for mock up Straight axeled the front end a wee bit higher. I can place the axle on top or below the springs. Borrowed a Hemi from a stalled project so I will be using a Hemi just diff Intake and not DOHC'd. Maybe? Leaving the stock fuel tank in the rear for better weight transfer. Maybe a lil Flat bed. Thanks for looking and we'll see how this one goes. LOL..
CB Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 ManoMan Zuk! I wants whatever it is you're on! This thing is just too totally outrageously cool! Looks like it's gonna fall over! Go man, Go!
Fletch Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Rodney, this is outrageous!!!!! You've got to get this one finished for the NNL, it will without a doubt be one of the most unique Hemi powered builds on the table.
RodneyBad Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 Thanks CB, I think I may have been watching too much of your builds. LOL.. hummmm, how 'bout a V12 gasser...or a V16?? Mmmm, Something like that may be in the works. I don't seem to have any Gasser kits, Me thinks MrZinn got him all. LOL.. I think maybe a Warmed up straight 8? Well Dave, It might just be finished. I never know.
weasel Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Thanks CB, I think I may have been watching too much of your builds. LOL.. Mmmm, Something like that may be in the works. I don't seem to have any Gasser kits, Me thinks MrZinn got him all. LOL.. I think maybe a Warmed up straight 8? Well Dave, It might just be finished. I never know. why not TWO warmed up straight 8's, TOGETHER!!! V16!!
RodneyBad Posted December 31, 2009 Author Posted December 31, 2009 Well I decided to go with a straight 8 I may go with these wheels and Stance Used Solder for headers and intake runners May redo the headers, it was just a test fit to see where they'd sit. Maybe over the frame or straight down or out?
CB Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Man, we gotta quit encouraging you Zuk! Wait! I didn't mean that! This thing keep getting better 'n better every post! Is them the right number of header pipes? 5 for a straight 8? I'da thought 6, or 4, but....... I thinks they look good as is, but with a nice big collector pipe on the end. Might look groovy hanging down outside the frame too, but with them 4 bee-you-teefull stacks , it might just be too much (not that the whole buildem up aint 'too much' already )
Spike Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 well this is deffinatly an interesting build if you happen to get ahold of another 32 chrysler let me know
RodneyBad Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 CBMan, we gotta quit encouraging you Zuk Is them the right number of header pipes? 5 for a straight 8? I'da thought 6, or 4, but....... Well it sure look that way, 2 of the exhaust ports are Siamesed(?). I'm gonna up-size the exhaust and straight out and back And No Sir, don't stop Encouraging me, the only way to do that is for ya ya to build Box stock. That's what got me thinking more Outside the box. I don't know much about the stacks yet, May put Carbs under them or just run a fuel line it the blocks. Does that work? Got back from a Friends today and got some better wheels and tires. Pics tomorrow. Happy New Year!!!! Heck, I'm wishing I didn't get rid of my other 32 Chrysler. Never thought I'd build one, let alone 2.
Harry P. Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 There's no way you would have an even number of cylinders and an odd number of exhaust outlets.
RodneyBad Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 There's no way you would have an even number of cylinders and an odd number of exhaust outlets. Sorry, I meant the 3 center exhaust ports are Siamesed
RodneyBad Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) Just for Harry, I revamped the header into Headers Dropped the Frame onto the axle Picked up another set of wheels and tires that should look more Early period (of what Period I don't know but it aint now) The rear trunk is just on to be on for now, don't know If I'll use it or not. Slow Progress but it is Progress. Edited January 3, 2010 by Zukiholic
ale8oneboy Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 That's some crazy stuff! Can't wait to see, how ya finish it.
CB Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Rod-NEY! stop 'playing' with your gasser and finish it !!! Love them headers! and those 'period' wheels & tires That engine is totally awesome! Get 'er done Zuk! oh yeah, you gonna hafta come up with a name fer it
RodneyBad Posted January 3, 2010 Author Posted January 3, 2010 Would ya believe I don't have a BootHill Express? Or any Altered wheel base Rides? But no lack of Import kits. BTW: There was only 4 intake ports, Darn. Sorry CB, I'm not really fast at building. Ideas come fast but fall short in the details. Grrrrrrr Takes forever to figure out how or what I'm doing. GO figure, eh?
CB Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Just kiddin' Zuk I'm lovin' watchin' you trying out yer ideas I's kinda the same as you. If'n I spended more time at the bench workin' on just one model, instead of lookin' at all the other cool rides hereabouts, I might actually get one done myownself.... ....but now seeing dat totally outrageseously outrageous stacked straight 8 of yours with them magnificent headers I guess I just gotta start another one Thanks a lot buddy
RodneyBad Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 Not alot of work done but some more Bodywork Slash cut Injector tubes? White walls. Maybe Wire wheel hub cabs for the rear?
Modelmartin Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 This thing gets bizarrer and bizarrer all the time!
Raul_Perez Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 This thing gets bizarrer and bizarrer all the time! Yeah...I'll have to agree with Martin on this one... It'll sure be interseting to see how this one turns out... Later,
The Creative Explorer Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I wouldn't go for hubcaps, but try to find some knock-offs. You know; those fasteners.
Jesse D Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Where'd you get the leaf springs? I'm buildin a healey gasser but all I got is the healey and the slicks.
Greg Pugh Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 This thread is almost two years old.........
RodneyBad Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 (edited) Where'd you get the leaf springs? I'm buildin a healey gasser but all I got is the healey and the slicks. I sourced them from my Parts box. No Idea what they came from, sorry. I should get back to work on this one and many others.. I ran into a wall when I couldn't figure out how to get the fuel to the carbs. What kind of fuel pump, how to make it and where to put it. Edited November 25, 2011 by RodneyBad
