Well...I only finished 4 models in '09. The first one was the hauler for my Raptor show car.

The second was the trailer for the Raptor show car, (yes, trailers count when you only finsh 4 models in one year).

The third was a fully fendered '32 Ford roadster with a flattie that I built for my friend, Bernard (GBK1). He didn't know when I posted the question on the board regarding "what would you build given the multiple variants of '32 Ford parts offered by Revell?" that I was actually asking him for input on a model that I wanted to build for him. Thanks for the complete description, Bernard!! tongue.gif

Last for '09 was the chopped and tubbed '40 Ford coupe with a 392 HEMI from the Revell Willys Street Rod kit.

Well I hope to build more than 4 models in 2010, or at least finish a few of the ones that I started several years ago...

Well, Raul, there may only be four, but they are a well done four completions. I really like the Raptor pickup and how it works so perfectly with the Rod and trailer. I thought when I saw it together for the first time last year that it was a well thought out and executed hat trick. They sure looked great together. I remember, as a teenager in the 60's, seeing this type of set up fairly often. Nice group, well done.

I have seen all but the 40 ford in person, and man they are beautiful.

Thanks, Donnie!! I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in Stockton and at the NNL West!!

I think that you too should make a hauler and trailer for some of your vacuformed concept cars!! They are truly incredible!!

Outstanding, Ideas,building, execution!!! as always

and Bernard is a lucky guy!!!

Thanks, Mike!! Yeah...I'm sure that Bernard will like the '32. I built it per his description of the ideal, stock '32.

All four are beautiful models, Raul. It does feel great to give one to a friend, too!

Thanks, Randy!!

Yes, it's great to share models with friends. I hope that you're enjoying the '49 Merc as much as I'm enjoying the '58 Pontiac.

Beautiful work Raul,I like em all.

Remember,it's the quality that counts not the quantity.....Looks like you had a great year of building to me.

Thanks, Jay!! They look OK for the amount of time that I put into them...but they're certainly not in your league. Some day I'd like to get a small mill and lathe to machine some of my own parts, too. That makes such an enourmous difference in the look of the finished model.

those are four excellent builds, i call that a big year myself. i only got one actually completed this year, the wilhelm wild dream, but got a few ready to finish up this coming year...probably like you, raul! but they no way come up to your quality of bodywork etc, that first truck especially is a real sweetheart!

Thanks, Bill!! Yeah...I've got a few that don't need too much more before they're done...besides me getting interested in finishing them...

Darn right the trailer counts. As far as I'm concerned the trailer counts as two.laugh.gif That whole set-up of truck, trailer and car is awesome. Thanks

Thanks, Greg! The show car was finished towards the end of '08. The truck and trailer were built in early '09. I had them done in time to show them as a set at the NNL West last March.

Thanks, my old friend!! Might I inspire you to build a show car with a truck and trailer, too? The hardest part is deciding what to build! tongue.gif

There are some super sweet impressive builds there. Imagination is in no shortage.

Chris

Thanks, Chris! With my background as a bodyman, I really like customizing the bodies...I just hate how much longer it takes verus building something right from the box.

Well you know it's quality not quanity biggrin.gif and these have plenty of quality man cool.gif

Thanks, Brian!!

With only 2 of the 4 being new since the last NNL West, I won't be needing too much table space in February!!

See you there!!
