Rick Schmidt Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Got me a 91 F250 kit a few weeks back and prompty discovered it had 150 wheels ... dagnabbit. Well I figured out a way to solve the issue. A friend suggested a set of swamper tires and Weld rims from Ebay. Which I agreed could work and had him order me a set Got these Great looking wheel and tire but too big for what I wanted So I made this using the rims and a diecast models tires and a Dodge cop car center cap I narrowed the rim cut the center loose and moved it forward to be more in porportion with the tire. Then Switched the center caps so as too appear the lug nuts are flush with the face and not behind it. This pic was before I cut the wheels but it gives ya the idea What ya think ?? I think I made out fine for a 6 dollar set of wheels and tires some elbow grease and a few parts from the box. I figure they are custom they can look any way I like lol
Greg Cullinan Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Rick they look perfect. If you wouldn't have mentioned this I bet alot of people would've thought them to be stock.
