Post WW2 German Tractor Rig

A few months ago. My model club at my local hobby shop had a build off challenge. Because it is an EVERYTHING model club. The military guys won out for this one. Good thing that the subject was this Opel Blitz kit.

Well I was going to go all "civilian" on them. I could not built it military. I figured that there were going to be plenty of them on the table for that meeting. So I went with this.

I pretty much built it out of the box. but I shortened the frame and scratch built the fifth wheel. The decal on the door I made. I named the trucking company after my friends hobby shop but it is in German. It translates to: "Hobby Headquarters Transport".

Thanks guys. this was a very fun build. I was surprised. Sometimes we need to get the Challenges put on us to get some fun back into building. especially what it is a subject and a kit that is way out of your element.
