jedimastergary
Looks like a cool build I have a 53 vette kit was going to do a sleeper but now not sure I also have some cool big wheels that would make it look close to the pic and a 409 with 3 carbs lost the kit 6 cylinder long ago Will be watching this build to see how it goes and see if it inspires me to do my own kit this way
Tumbler75
Looks like you are a off to a good start! I believe you can pull this one off with ease. That 409 is gonna sweet down between those front wheels. Keep us updated!
hemithunder
Looks like your gettin all the goodies togather. I have to get a page up for my JWAC build, and get the pics I've taken so far uploaded.
torinobradley
I have an idea drawn up right along these lines but in a land speeder trim. I even used the same windscreen. HRM has that windscreen if you dont have one from a cobra. Looks like you got a lucky draw on this challenge! Lookin' good. Real good... Jairus
Hey, you got all the right elements there, just remember that this is not a custom. It's a RACE CAR so get rid of the interior door panels, trim and extra weight those items bring. Think sports and racing cars of the time period and this one will turn out super cool. torinobradley
Looking great! Practically picture perfect! What did you make the drivers pod out of? It looks like the same kit plastic. Do tell! A suggestion for rounding out the fender vents. I used a very small needle file on my Grand Sport's vents but if you don't have one of them, you can take a small piece of wood like a coffee stir or popsicle stick, sand the edge to the rounded countour and wrap sandpaper around it. That should give you a nice tool to even up and round out the vents to match the rendering. Good luck!

Modlbldr
Bruce- I like what you're doing here. The vents and interior pod look great. Keep it up. I should be starting on mine soon, now that I finished the Camaro. I need to get the photos of it taken and posted so I can close another one out. I've been doing some work on the chassis of my 53 Stude/ 98 Vette whiule waiting for my VW kit to arrive. I really like this rendering from Jairus and I know you'll do it right. Later-
Alyn
Jairus really penned a nice one with this Vette. It hasn't taken you much time at all to capture the essence of it. Looking forward to seeing it in 3D
