Guest Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 While I'm not at all a fan of that kit, you certainly made the most of it with your skillful build. Very nice work. What's not to love about this kit? The detail in it oob is incredible. That is one awesome build! Photograped in the right place, it's easy real ormodel fodder, no doubt!
bluemoose Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 As Mr. Tudball (the Carol Burnett show) would say, that's a real beau, beau, beauty.
MrObsessive Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Cruz, you hit another one out of the park! You've got the details perfect in every way!
kyledr330 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Outstanding work Marcos, Just a work of art! I love it!
george 53 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Just BEAUTIFUL, Marcos!!! THAT'S what the guys who designed it, INTENDED it to look like! GREAT build!!!!
cotto Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 You just made my day with this thing, I mean, I just bought another one of these kits just to have it in stock, it's that beautiful man. Great job my friend, your attention to detail is superb. The engine bay looks very busy too. This really should be gracing the cover of a magazine, model or real!
Dragline Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 This is THE build of this car that I have seen. Marcos, ya done great buddy. Bring it to MAMA if you come down. Bob

FordWagonNut Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Bravo! Its nice, crisp, and clean. I love it!
cruz Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 I don't want to take anything away from this great build, but the kit's body shape is laughable. I won't dispute some nice tooling and engineering was done in the chassis/engine/interior, but the body is a-w-f-u-l. Most people think it's good enough, which is amazing to me, but scale auto builders as a group either just can't see, or don't care that much about body proportions. It seems if a kit is easy to build, it's "good" and hard to build kits are "bad" no matter how much or little they look like the real thing once they're done. Lest you think I'm just a Revell hater, I actually think the Revell Nova, with all of it's flaws is "good enough" as a kit body...it has definite issues which would be very hard to correct, but overall it shows enough fidelity to be passible. Not this one. I would love for one of these to be in the "Real or Model" section. I'd be the easiest one in recorded history. But back to the build...it was a sensational show of craftsmanship, and that should be celebrated here. Beautiful work! Thanks my friend. I really thought that this kit was correct in every way when it came to the body proportions, at least that's what the "car lines" gurus here are concerned. According to you, what is wrong with the body on this? I am not one of those modelers that would stop a project because of right or wrong body proportions but I will be honest, it's still pretty important up to a certain point to me, it's one of the reasons I would never build the Revell 'Cuda. What do you base your facts on? Thanks again for your reply on this!!
