Nick Winter Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Well, Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite Actors, the Dirty Harry's are my favorite of his films. I added the following parts because well that's a .44 Magnum and a scaled down version of Harry's badge, in the movie you do see a radio, but no antenna, so I added one,
Scalper Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nice job on this one Nick.. looks great. looks like you did not rush this one.
Nick Winter Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Nice job on this one Nick.. looks great. looks like you did not rush this one. Never do, it took me 2 days to build. it Was very simplified. Like I told everyone those weren't recent builds, this was done in Febuary.
FordWagonNut Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nice job Nick. I like how you added the chrome trim in the tail lamp lenses. A few built ups I have seen, guys have missed that.

tuffone20 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nice job Nick. I like how you added the chrome trim in the tail lamp lenses. A few built ups I have seen, guys have missed that. Yeah I like that little detail you did there and I think I'll go back and do it to my Phoenix Police car. Looks good Nick, but building it in two days is really not taking your time..
Nick Winter Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 Yeah I like that little detail you did there and I think I'll go back and do it to my Phoenix Police car. Looks good Nick, but building it in two days is really not taking your time.. Yeah it was 2 Days assembley 3 for paint, 1 for detail, and one to add the plates annd screw the chassis on.
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Fantastic!! Excellent Nick!! This is one of the best models from you that I have seen on this forum...
Agent G Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Now that's cool. If I remember right they'd have put the antenna in the package shelf inside the back glass. We did that for years in detective cars. UHF band radios don't need a large whip for reception in an urban area. Trivia questions: What was Harry's rank and what was his badge number? Does anyone remember why he was called "Dirty Harry"? G Edited May 11, 2010 by AgentG

Scale-Master Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I’m confused. “it took me 2 days to build†“Yeah it was 2 Days assembley 3 for paint, 1 for detail, and one to add the plates annd screw the chassis on†Does “One Day†equal 8 hours in this scenario? Three days for paint you say, does that count drying time? One Day to just screw on the chassis and add the plates? Honestly I don’t see 8 hours labor for those tasks. I’m starting to see how your math can add up to 800 hours in one model in your mind. I don’t agree with counting that way, but this does provide some perspective… But the shift from two days to build to seven days, that has me confused… This is an improvement from the Firebirds, keep up the effort.
Nick Winter Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Absolutely correct! G I'm not only a Movie car builder but a Clint Eastwood fan (I have the Clint Eastwood set, The outlaw Josie Wales, Unforgiven, Dirty Harry, and I have the Dirty Harry Movie collection with all 5 films) This is an improvement from the Firebirds, keep up the effort. Thank you, like I have said before Those are nost recent builds, besides it's only the one Firebird, It's sigular not plural, the Other is my Bandit Trans Am which I beleive has the best black, paint finish I've done so far.
Nick Winter Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Well, a Trans Am is a Firebird. If you don't want to count that one, there's still the Rockford car...that's a Firebird, right? The point is, this one shows great improvement over any of 'em: a point I'm on agreement with ScaleMaster on. There the same but I like to keep them seperated, when you think Firebird what my mind shows is a flat hood, rallye wheels and no t tops, when i think Trans Am I think of a Big 'ol Firechicken on the hood and all the flares and spoilers.
Scale-Master Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 All Trans Ams are Firebirds, but not all Firebirds are Trans Ams. Same with Chevy. All Z/28s are Camaros, not all Camaros are Z/28s. Then again, some Z/28s aren’t really Z/28s either, there’s more Z/28s now than Chevy ever made…

Then again, some Z/28s aren’t really Z/28s either, there’s more Z/28s now than Chevy ever made… Exactly, Funny there's a similar problem with Trans Am SE's there's suddenly more than GM Pontiac division built in '77
Scale-Master Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Exactly, Funny there's a similar problem with Trans Am SE's there's suddenly more than GM Pontiac division built in '77 Where did you get those "facts" Nick?
Nick Winter Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 Where did you get those "facts" Nick? Well everyone builds Bandit replica's, the real thing was a '77 Trans Am SE, and I was told that on a forum, so, they might not be correct, were'd you get your facts?

I'll answer that when you answer all the questions I have asked you before over the last week or so, but you declined to respond to. I'm guessing because they were too difficult for you? Or was it you only wanted to pick and choose what to respond to so you would not look like you didn't know what you were talking about? Just take a look your your "trucks" thread before you blast back with another snide comment please. Or I can bring some of them up for you if you are unable... Edited May 13, 2010 by Scale-Master
Greg Cullinan Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Man....so much for a "Fun Friendly" forum Overall it is a friendly fun place to browse and interact. I stay straight and let all the sideways stuff go by. Nick this is pretty sweet. Is this resin or a kit?
