Here are some pics of the headache rack that I got from Matthew (Highway)for my KW W900. It does exactly what I wanted which is cover the hole in the back of the cab for the sleeper. Its a good resin piece and other then sanding it was an easy touch to the truck. The paint is Rustolium chrome from autozone. The pics dont do it justice. That is good paint.

WOW, nice job, Ryan!! It's kinda sad I made the master for that, and this is the first time I've seen one finished on a truck!! I guess that just goes to show how long it takes me to finish anything!! Now I have to get one of my trucks done and use it, too! Nice job again, and sorry about all the sanding, but that's just because it is just from a one piece mold, nothing to keep the back flat.

The rack is included in the Revell Pete 359 and KW K199 Aerodyne kits.

Yes it is, but I modified it to make it wider and give it a back. This is the master I made for the mold used for Ryan's:

I nearly doubled the width and gave it a back to make it a better box.

By the way, the one I modified came out of Revell AG's Can Do wrecker.

Very nice rack, Matt. Do you plan on selling them?

I like the way it came out on the KW.

Thank you, Jim. I don't plan on selling them, because I'm far from a pro resin caster like Porky and Cargostar are, but if anyone needs one, I would be more than happy to work something out.

Hello Rronning84,

Your KW is very sweet and the headache rack is a very fine touch.

The original headache rack of the Revell AG is very pure and it does not like real.

I like the look of your widened version. I have done something similar and you can see it here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26447&st=0&p=249295&hl=the%20reborn&fromsearch=1&#entry249295

I have to note that I isnpired for this by another widened headache rack that Tim had built for a 359 PETERBILT, not long time ago.

Kostas.

sorry about all the sanding, but that's just because it is just from a one piece mold, nothing to keep the back flat.

Try laying a piece of glass on the mold after pouring your resin. It will force excess resin from the mold and make the back flat. Put some mold release or baby powder on the glass first.

PS, nice truck Ryan.
