krishna.iskandana Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Hi, This is a ' 69 Shelby GT500 from Revell, painted with Pure white from tamiya and Aoshima 20" Volk Racing G2 wheels. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking Krishna Iskandana, Perth, Western Australia
KENNEDYJR Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 That's a cool color combo. I haven't seen a GT500 done up with those colors, it looks good. Any issues getting the wheels mounted?
62rebel Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 very clean build and correct stance! can you do a review of this kit for us, as i haven't seen one so far?
Peter Lombardo Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Wow, I didn't think that I would like this when I read the title, since this is one of my least favorite Mustang body styles, but I actually like this build very much. The wheels, color and interior, along with the gold stripe all work great. My only question is with the choice of the black rear spoiler....I think I would have done that differently, but overall this is one beautiful Mustang. Great job.
Scalefinishes Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 That is the best looking '69 GT500 I've ever seen. I'm not a big fan of that year, but I like that one. Well done. Jameston
impcon Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Nice build and choice of colours. Too me, the wheels detract somewhat from a beautiful build.. but that's just my opinion. I am not fond of those "baby buggy wheels" as I call them on any older car.. but having said that, you did a marvelous job! The colour is righteous and attractive and the gold stripe really does compliment the car. Sweet car!
krishna.iskandana Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 very clean build and correct stance! can you do a review of this kit for us, as i haven't seen one so far? @kennedyjr : cheers mate, there were some minor adjustments in getting the wheels mounted, especially in rear end. I had to do some modifications in order to acquire the right stance. @62rebel: well, the molding is suprisingly perfect and it came with 2 engines option and two wheels option. No drama in fitting the parts.
Daniel Peterson Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Very nice execution! I like the choice of wheels and as others have said, the uncommon paint scheme works out great!
