highway Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I think it looks good, it gets the point across! I like how you got the hook going under the siderail, that's the way the good skateboarders do it!
toplessfury Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 thanks ive had mycdl for 14 yrs and though ive never pulled flat bed ive seen a couple lol i made that box to hold all of the chains and straps (when not in use).
highway Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 thanks ive had mycdl for 14 yrs and though ive never pulled flat bed ive seen a couple lol i made that box to hold all of the chains and straps (when not in use). You got me by two years! The local company I was working for before I started have blood pressure problems hauled cardboard to a few mills around here that was used as edge protector for steel coils. One skid was about 12 feet long, and they had the flatbed just for that, and since I had a little experience from when I drove wrecker with flatbeds, I was the one who almost always pulled it. Of course, I learned that trick of running the strap under instead of over the rails from a couple friends of mine who were full time bedders.
SpreadAxle Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 You did a great job on the strap. It looks good. Running it under the rail is actually part of the regulations now, whereas I don't believe it was before.

huffanpuff Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Jamie, You hold this from each end & set that tank in place is this trailer going to bow bad ? Looks like you may have to add more bracing .
toplessfury Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Jamie, You hold this from each end & set that tank in place is this trailer going to bow bad ? Looks like you may have to add more bracing . it does bow real bad with the tank on it,so im going to take a piece of plastis square tubing paint it black(to hide it)and glue it to the center of the underside to support the tank and keep the bow down.
toplessfury Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 also ran into another problem.after searching the trees, box, floor, and trash can i dont see the king pin so ill have to find a replacement.
toplessfury Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 ok i found the kingpin and all i have to do is put some wheels on it.they should be in end of next week and then ill post some more pics.
toplessfury Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 still waiting for the wheels to come in but i figured my load situationout. its going to be ......................... a glass hauler.
