charlie8575
Looks great, Mark! As soon as the hood, etc. is available, I'll order one. Charlie Larkin
impcon
I'll take one as well as soon as the rest of the pieces are available. Will it have a plain Chevelle hood option or will we have to use the big block hood? ALso, will you offer stock wheel covers and/or small hubcaps? Hmmmmmmm.. I was just wondering how difficult it would be for you to offer a '68 version of this??? Maybe a Concours Estate version?? Since it is based on the original 1969 Chevelle kit, you could go to Modelhaus and get a 1968 front bumper and grille. The grille emblem for a plain jane 1968 Chevelle could possibly be solved with a Keith Marks decal. Side markers and trim would change on the '68 but not too difficult to do. The only mods you have to do to my resin body is sand off the marker lights. 68 wagon 69 wagon Also, just to let you guys know. The hood, chassis and interiors will be extra. They will be listed separately and priced. The $27.00 price tag is for the body kit shown above, like that with the 4 door handles (I did not have them for the photo but they come with this kit) You will not get that with those other items for just $27.00 The more you want with this body kit. The more it will cost. I am also going to be doing the grill bumper in resin and a vaced windshield so that you can get everything from me and not need the donor kit. But that is a "Whole Nudder Paintjob!!" We will cross that bridge....so they say. Matt
Car Crazy 81
Nice work on the Chevelle Wagon, Matt i know i'll be ordering this one for sure. Is there anyway that a AMT 68 El Camino or a AMT 69 Cutlass 4-4-2 frame fit this body since these two frames are fully detailed compared to the AMT 69 Chevelle unit. dencon
The AMT 68 El Camino was wider then all of the other AMT GM "A" body kits they did over the years. This wagon is based off of the old annual 69 ElCamino kit from 1969. So the late 90s released of the AMT 68 El Camino just is too wide for it. I tried to make it work with that AMT kit, but it just was not in the cards. As for the AMT 69 Cutlass, I am sure will work, but it will have to be stretched a little bit. The Wagon was longer wheel base then the 2 door coupes and sedans. This resin body was based off of the old F&F body from years ago. I bought the last master from Ed Fluck Jr along with the rights (Basically his OK) to do this body. When I got it from him it was in the middle of a conversion into a 70. I wanted to come out with a 69 first. If this does well. I am going to do all of the 68-72 versions. The next one will be the 70. Maybe for 2011. Matt Edited July 20, 2010 by dencon

dencon
any plans for a 2 door wagon No, not at this time. Want to come out with the 68,70,71 & 72 versions first. If there is a big call for it. I will. Matt
dimaxion
The '69 Chevells did not have the divider chrome strip from front to back as on the '68's . On the SS model , this was painted flat black . it is hard to see . I believe you did not place this moulding on the body . Nice conversion . Just not my cup of tea . Thanx ..

dencon
Thanks guys. As for that molding. No I did not. I know just what you mean about that. I am almost done with the interior. I hope to have it out along with a chassis in a few weeks. I am playing with a few different ideas with the chassis. I have not touched the flat hood in a wile. Just been too busy with a bunch of other projects and right now I am just swamped with orders. So mastering and mold making has taken a back seat. I am also messing around with a front grill/bumper without the "SS". I am also working on a hood with stock size 69 Camaro ZL2 cowl "Special Ducted" "Supper Scoop". What the heck, right? A boy GOTS ta hot rod his wagon! Am I right? Thanks Matt

Casey
He is still selling stuff on ebay under another name. http://www.ebay.com/...sid=p4340.l2562 here is his ebay seller list, Caveat emptor. Straight from Matt's keyboard, via his forum: 8/11/11 Status has not changed at this time. I am not going to get into my family personal business. But with family that has had to stay in town for us to work things out and dealing with my 85 year old father and helping him through these changes. Also dealing with his and my mother's estate. I have not had much time for resin. I have list a few items on e-bay to make a little extra chash to keep things rolling with casting. But I really cannot tell anyone anything. mikemodeler
As someone who is dealing with elderly parents and their care, Matt has my sympathies. I was looking forward to this kit as it would have been nice to have to build. Hopefully his family situation gets resolved soon and he can get back to casting and selling his stuff. I have bought some Dencon product in the past and it was very nice so I would expect the same on this body/kit.
Craig Irwin
At least he shut things down rather then cash checks and ignore e-mails. Just wait for the return.
