FuzionTheAce Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Here is the 1940 Woodie I'm working on.Just a shell right now...no interior or engine.I'm planning on fully detailing both. The hood needs some work too. This kit is a finicky one...ENJOI!! All comments and questions welcome...thx
torinobradley Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Looking good so far! I like the color combo. Have you considered painting the spokes of the wheel to match the car? Did the kit come with only these fenders or did it have the orginals as well?

Thx for the comment. No other fenders in the kit, just the ones pictured.I had something in mind for the rims, but your suggestion now has me thinking ...I'll keep you posted.
CrewDawg15 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Sweet! I agree, a light color wash would really accentuate the wheels.
Romell R Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) Are you planing on making the wood panels for it from scratch? its a very nice job so far some scratch built wood panels would set this off can wait to see what you do with it. If you dont add wood panels then it would just be a 1940 Panel and not a woody.Keep up the good work! Edited July 24, 2010 by Aftashox

pharr7226 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 "Woodie in progress" Wow, you really get excited about your builds The paint looks great. I'm curious about how will make the wood panels, if you go that route. I'll be watching.
FuzionTheAce Posted August 30, 2010 Author Posted August 30, 2010 Ok guys here is a small update for you.... First off some engine detailing pics.My first wiring job .Aluminum air filters.Throttle return spring. Still a few touch-ups needed, but I'm pleased with the overall outcome. In these shots you can see what I've come up with as far as the rims go.I want to blacken the center caps on the rims.In hopes of tying the color scheme together. It's pretty much a rolling chassis. Here is an undercarriage shot.First time trying metalizers with a black wash.I'm very pleased with the outcome. and finally some shots of a mock-up with no hood, before final detailing and assembly. I will update again soon...enjoi!
runsw/scissors Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Love the wheels! nice accent to a really cool color choice. i'll be watching.
FuzionTheAce Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 Almost finished with the interior...I will be posting more pics soon
