Any model clubs in Chicago metro area?

Hi ... seems modeling is getting quite scarce in the Chicago area. Any clubs around? There aren't even any contests year after year in Chicago anymore. Have to go out of state now.

If there is a local club give me a shout.

I have belonged to a club for about 12 years now called C.A.R.S. in Miniature and it works well for me. They meet in Crystal Lake on the second Saturday of the month at 7 p.m.. Call the prez John at (815) 451-3403. As far as contest goes, there was one in St.Charles on the 1st of August, one in Crystal Lake yesterday and there will be one at the Rosemont Convention Center on Nov. 20th & 21st. If you need anymore info, send me a message off board.

Hi all.... My name's Marty. Born in 1961, I've been building model cars since I was about 7 or 8 years old. I am a founding member of both Kustom Kemps In Miniature (KKIM) and the Northern Illinois Table Top Cruisers (NITTC).

I like building models of many different types of cars, especially 50's 60's & 70's drag cars, old school rods and customs.
